Eddie Cantor was born Edward Israel Iskowitz on January 31, 1892 in New York City. He was orphaned at age of two and raised by his grandmother. Cantor was a vaudeville performer and singing waiter and appeared in Gus Edwards' Kid Kabaret, in Ziegfeld's Midnight Frolics in 1916 and star in successive Ziegfeld Follies, 1917-1919. Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882, in Hyde Park, New York. He was the son of James (lawyer, financier) and Sara (Delano) Roosevelt. He married Anna Eleanor Roosevelt on March 17, 1905, and had six children: Anna, James, Franklin, Elliott, Franklin Jr., John.
